Experience traditional Ethiopian clothes in Shiro Meda with Hello Habesha Tours. The most visually appealing element of any culture is fashion. Have locals negotiate on your behalf to avoid being charged foreigner prices. A personal driver will transport you to the town of Shiro Meda is known by locals for their traditional dresses and clothes. Shiro Meda is lined with stalls and shops consumed by Ethiopian dresses (kemi). A guide will be by your side the entire time to ensure you find your choice kemis. Your guide will make a special effort to make sure every inch of fabric is suitable to your taste. Habesha guides will barter prices to prevent any overcharging as a foreigner. They can also assist with any alterations to ensure an appropriate fit.

Tour Itinerary

8:30 AM- Drive to Shiro Meda- Curious about Ethiopian culture? Our friendly guides will happily answer any curiosities about Habesha culture.

9:00 AM- Peruse the stalls of dresses for 1 and 1/2 hours.

10:30 AM- Traditional coffee ceremony break near the dresses

11:00 AM- Continue shopping & exploring Shiro Meda for 1 hour.

12:00 PM- Leave for lunch

12:30 PM- Eat lunch at a traditional restaurant

1:30 PM- Leave the restaurant and drive back to the hotel

2:00 PM- Arrive back at hotel
